Born and raised in England, I moved to the States in my early twenties. Looking for a good job, I decided to enlist in the U.S. Coast Guard - and it's been pretty terrific so far, and that was over twenty years ago.

I write novels and short stories based upon my time in the Coast Guard, blending truth with fiction. Think my stories are too wild to be true - well, my friend, as they say, sometimes the truth really is stranger than fiction.

I'm still currently serving, and right now you can find me on a tour of duty in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I know, what a life, right?
